Ultra-chic and glamorous Saddleworth Hotel wedding photography to share with you today, with the golden hour to end all golden hours.

Stacey and Colin got married at the spectacular Saddleworth Hotel in Oldham last summer. It was a stunning wedding, with glass and crystal decorations everywhere, and an epic sunset over the Saddleworth moor.

Getting ready

Our bride Stacey got ready at her parent’s house with quite the entourage. She had six bridesmaids so you can picture the happy chaos! There was such an exciting vibe. She wore the most beautiful Pronovias dress (check out those ruffles!), and looked so glamorous. Once ready, the bride hopped into a Rolls Royce to get to the ceremony. The bridesmaids rode along behind in a stretched Hummer!

A ballroom ceremony at the Saddleworth Hotel

The ceremony took place in the grand ballroom at the Saddleworth Hotel. The ceremony area was a beautiful room with flower petals littering the polished marble floor. The wedding ceremony began with several readings from friends and family, and finished with a big cheer from everyone. It was a moving ceremony, full of cheer and nervous giggles. Our bride definitely had a few butterflies at the start but after the vows her joy was obvious.

After the nuptials, the couple mingled with their guests, which was the perfect time for me to get candid photos. Then we did some family photos, which I think are really important. I know I don’t show many group photographs on my site but I do know how important these images are, especially for parents. We then went for a wander outside the venue. I got some beautiful couples photos in the forest – relaxed, natural images that didn’t require any posing at all. The weather was so fresh and sunny; it was a beautiful day!

The afternoon

Stacey and Colin chose to have their wedding at Saddleworth Hotel because it’s just so glamorous and contemporary, with amazing staff. They fell in love with the venue straight away. The Saddleworth Hotel is a modern venue, and it’s got a really grand atmosphere, especially in the main room when the party gets going!

After the drinks reception, everyone was then called in for the wedding breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. They had speeches after the meal, which were really touching – plenty of tears! The bride and groom also had a special surprise for the guests; a pair of secret singing waitresses! They really got the crowd rocking.

Following the speeches, the sun started to set and the landscape was transformed by golden light. I knew we had to get out into that light, and in the space of less than five minutes we created some amazing moments.

The party

After the meal was finished, they cut the cake, and the evening kicked off. Evening guests arrived and immediately started to play catch up with the drinks! The DJ played all the best songs to get everyone dancing. The Saddleworth Hotel has an amazing glass DJ booth that really gives it a proper clubbing atmosphere!

The whole wedding was everything I love about weddings, from the bride’s awesome dress to the wonderful speeches. One of my favourite images from the day was the little flower girl throwing herself on the floor a few seconds before the ceremony. Stacey reacted just as I hoped she would; with a smile and a shrug of the shoulders! One of the most memorable parts of the wedding was when the sun started to go down and we went outside for a walk; the incredible light and scenery provided some of my most iconic photographs from the day.

The couple says that if you’re planning your wedding, the biggest piece of advice they could give you is to try not to stress or worry too much. It will all eventually fall into place. On the day, spend a bit of time with your new husband or wife and celebrate your special day together!

I loved this Saddleworth Hotel wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a Saddleworth Hotel wedding photographer, please get in touch. Here are the photos!
