A Summer Wedding with Sunglasses & Cocktails

Mere Court is a fabulous Cheshire wedding venue set in private, forested grounds, just perfect for a summer wedding. Sunglasses & cocktails were definitely the order of the day!

The Mere Court Hotel is one of the most popular wedding venues in Cheshire. The venue is set over 7 acres of landscaped gardens. It’s a beautiful space for you and your wedding guests to explore. I love photographing weddings outdoors at the Mere Court when the weather allows it.

We were blessed with the most incredible light that day. I found pockets of beautiful, directional light to play with from every angle while the bride & groom enjoyed a few minutes together.

I hope you like this small gallery of photographs from the day. If you're planning on getting married at Mere Court (or anywhere) then please get in touch to discuss your requirements. Thanks for looking!

A Cheshire Wedding at the Mere Court Hotel

From the moment I met James & Jenny to chat about their Mere Court wedding, I knew we were going to create something special.

The bride wore a Maggie Sottero wedding dress with bridal flowers by Artisan House of Flowers.

The bridal cars arrived- fabulous vintage camper vans! Big enough for Jenny and her crowd of bridesmaids (a gaggle of bridesmaids? A flock?) to get to the church in style.

The groom James waited inside the church, nervously. Family & friends gathered, ready to celebrate the nuptials.

One quick ceremony later, the vows vowed & and the kiss kissed, it was party time! Off to Mere Court to start the proper celebrations.

History of Mere Court

The Mere Court Hotel in Cheshire was originally built as a wedding present in 1903, of all things. I'd have been happy with a bread-maker.

It's now been beautifully restored as a 4-star luxury country house wedding venue. It has an AA Rosette restaurant and it's currently voted the number 1 hotel in Knutsford on Trip Advisor.

Couples can relax knowing their guests will be well looked-after at this award-winning country house. The Mere Court Hotel is such a fantastic choice for a wedding venue. The rooms are lovely, the food is fabulous ( I was lucky enough to get all three courses!) and the grounds are beautiful.

"Mere Court Hotel is one of my favourite wedding venues in Cheshire. If you're planning a relaxed, natural, rustic wedding, Mere Court is a must-see venue. There are so many opportunities for beautiful photos!"

Bride & Groom Portraits at Mere Court

The evening light at Mere Court was delicious. We headed outside for photos. I'm always looking for something different at each venue I visit. It only takes a few minutes to capture amazing images. I keep an eye on the time so we can sneak out at the perfect moment.

Some of my favourite images from this wedding are the bride & groom just wandering around the grass next to the car park of all places! Mere Court has beautiful grounds but I had to chase the light. The sunset and that cathedral veil needed something special.
