From the moment I met James & Jenny to chat about their Mere Court wedding, I knew we were going to create something special. Their claim to be “not the most photogenic of couples” had me smirking behind my chocolate Hobnobs. OK guys, whatever, challenge accepted!
Our gorgeous (“not photogenic”, that still cracks me up) bride wore a Maggie Sottero wedding dress with bridal flowers by Artisan House of Flowers, her preparations under the watchful eye of Mum Cath. The bridesmaids made sure the house was alive with the sounds of happy squealing 🙂
The bridal cars arrived- fabulous vintage camper vans! Big enough for a bride and her crowd of bridesmaids (A gaggle of bridesmaids? A gang?) to get to the church in style.
Our groom James waited, apprehensively, his chiselled good-looks belying the original outrageous self-effacing claims of the couple 😉 Family & friends were gathered, ready to celebrate the nuptials.
One quick ceremony later, the vows vowed & and the kiss kissed, it was party time! Off to Mere Court to start the proper celebrations.
Mere Court in Cheshire
Mere Court is a fabulous Cheshire wedding venue set in private, forested grounds, just perfect for a summer wedding. Sunglasses & cocktails were definitely the order of the day!
We were blessed with the most incredible light that day. Although the height of summer is not the best time for sunsets, we found pockets of beautiful, directional light that I played with from every angle while the bride & groom enjoyed a few minutes together.
I hope you like this small gallery of photographs from the day. If you are getting married at Mere Court (or anywhere for that matter, I don’t discriminate) then please get in touch to discuss your requirements. Thanks for looking!
