Meols Hall: An Enchanting Wedding Venue in Liverpool
There’s a reason Meols Hall holds a special place in the hearts of couples, including yours truly. And not just because it’s a 10-minute drive from my house. No!
It’s not just a wedding venue, but a place where stories unfold, memories are made, and love is celebrated.
“But Andrew!” I hear you cry. “That’s every wedding venue, surely!” And I’d say yes, but this one is extra nice, and I’m not trying to rank well for those venues in this article.
A Historic Jewel Amidst Nature
Meols Hall, a historic manor house, boasts 100 acres of splendid parkland. It’s a beautiful escape from the bustling city life, but you’re still only 5 minutes walk to the local SPAR for emergency supplies. The greenery stretches as far as the eyes can see, creating a backdrop that’s nothing short of a fairytale. If you dream of tying the knot amidst nature, the verdant, picturesque landscape of Meols Hall will tickle your fancy.
The Tithe Barn: A Beautiful Blend of History and Charm
One of Meols Hall’s distinctive features is the Tithe Barn. This 400-year-old structure stands as a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship of the North West of England. It’s been lovingly restored, blending the past and the present seamlessly. Walking into the Barn is like stepping into a piece of history, a distinctive charm that lends itself beautifully to your wedding photographs. It can be a bit dark in there though, so make sure you choose a photographer who can handle it. Like me!
Cobbled Courtyard: A Picturesque Setting for Receptions
Nothing says “celebration” like a sun-drenched drinks reception on a cobbled courtyard. Unless it’s a helium balloon with “celebration” printed on it.
It’s quaint, it’s charming, and it’s the perfect spot for your guests to mingle and soak in the joyous atmosphere. Watch those heels on the cobbles though.
The courtyard, coupled with the Barn and the surrounding parkland, gives Meols Hall a unique appeal. It’s versatile, allowing you to curate your wedding just the way you envision it. Unless you envisioned a city centre wedding. In which case, be sure to check out some of my work at a top Manchester City Centre Wedding Venue instead!
A Stone’s Throw from the City
Despite its tranquil setting, Meols Hall is conveniently located in Southport, making it easily accessible from Liverpool and the surrounding areas. It’s a serene oasis, a world away from the hustle and bustle, yet just a short drive from the city – an ideal balance for your guests. Plus the area has some amazing bars & restaurants too so it’s a fab place to be for the weekend or the wedding build-up with your mates.

Its versatility and unique features make it an excellent choice for couples looking for an unforgettable venue for their special day.
