A LUXURIOUS WINTER WEDDING AT KNOWSLEY HALL, MERSEYSIDE’S ONLY STATELY HOME.
Amy and Kenny were married this winter at Knowsley Hall, a grand old stately home in Merseyside.
It was one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever shot!
Knowsley Hall Wedding Photography is my jam!
The weather was cold, crisp & gorgeous!
Someone bought me a shandy!
If you’re planning your own big day in Liverpool and you’re struggling to find the perfect wedding venue, check out Knowsley Hall. It’s big, grand, and will make you feel like Thomas Shelby in Peaky Blinders (or someone fancy from Downton Abbey if that’s more your thing). As soon as you pass the gates you are teleported to a different time. Driving through the stunning grounds, you feel like you’re in an Emily Bronte novel. I am in awe of the beauty of this wedding venue.

Bridal Preparations at Knowsley Hall
The bride got ready in the bridal suite at Knowsley Hall with her bridesmaids. The atmosphere was bonkers. Despite the bridal party looking like goddesses in crimson dresses with floral headpieces, it was hilarious listening to them trying to get ready & swearing like sailors. Scouse weddings are the best!
The groom got ready a short drive from the hall at the Knowsley Suites Hotel. He was reasonably calm, although his best man Brian was incredibly nervous at the thought of his speech later that day. Nothing a few beers couldn’t cure.
The Ceremony & The Ultimate First Kiss
Preparations complete, the bride walked with her dad down the grand staircase to get to the ceremony in the Stucco Ballroom. This amazing room exudes luxury & romance with its gold leaf ceiling and original fireplace. The room was buzzing with excitement. It was such a lovely service and hilarious. Check out the photograph of Kenny after the first kiss- Amy wasn’t holding back!
I don’t usually have a favourite part of the day but this time the ceremony really stood out; the slight stress of the morning and the anticipation building up to the solemn moment just washed away as the bride & groom smiled and laughed their way through the vows. And that kiss though ?
The Afternoon Reception
Following the wedding vows, Amy & Kenny joined their guests for the drink reception. The ancient halls of the stately home were filled with the sounds of celebration as the wedding guests enjoyed their cocktails & canapes. A string quartet added an elegant ambiance. It was certainly a Scouse celebration; love, laughter and witty banter!
Your Knowsley Hall Wedding Photographer
The bride & groom chose Knowsley Hall because it’s where they always wanted to have their wedding and they just fell in love with it.
I’ve worked at this incredible Merseyside wedding venue a few times before and it’s one of my favourite venues. Such a grand building, and open spaces in the garden for photos, it is pretty much the perfect place to photograph a wedding. I love shooting Knowsley Hall weddings because the grounds are delicious. Although the light didn’t last very long, we still managed to grab some frames in the most incredible winter light before darkness fell. Just a few simple, natural moments of them enjoying each other’s company. No forced or fake posing; natural & relaxed photography!
