A Fresh Take on Wedding Photography at One of York’s Finest Venues

Grays Court in York, with its rich history, set the stage for Emma and Matt’s autumn wedding. It was my first time shooting at this venue, and what a day it was!

Modern Love Meets Historical Charm

Emma and Matt chose Grays Court for their big day, offering a blend of modern style and historical ambiance. Emma stepped out in a unique, custom-made outfit by her mum, while Matt’s tweed suit was the epitome of classic cool.

The Ceremony: A Mix of Elegance and Relaxed Vibes

Post-ceremony, guests mingled on the lawn, cocktails in hand, defying the typical British weather. I grabbed a moment with the couple for some relaxed shots just before the rain set in, capturing their connection without the fuss.

The Reception: Unique, Vibrant, Unforgettable

The party moved to the National Centre for Early Music, turning a medieval church into a buzzing venue. The touch of Lord of the Rings-themed tables added a personal twist, steering clear of any Mordor gloom.

A special song performed by Emma’s dad right before the first dance was the cherry on top, marking a memorable surprise.
