“We can’t even begin to express how it feels to see your own wedding come to life; the way you capture everything is completely awe-inspiring.
An Award-Winning Lancashire Wedding Venue
A fabulous Lancashire wedding at the beautiful wedding venue Ashfield House to share with you today.
Heather & James were married at Ashfield House & invited me along to photograph their big day. It’s always a pleasure to visit new venues & I was really excited about Ashfield House, I’d heard great things!
Ashfield House was built in 1755 and has undergone a dramatic transformation over the last few years, becoming one of the best country house wedding experiences in the North West, one which will only go from strength to strength if their recent win at The Wedding Industry Awards is anything to go by!
Their motto is “Our House is Your House” and it’s true, as soon as you arrive you feel like you’ve come home! The staff at Ashfield House want you to feel like you’ve taken over the venue for your entire stay. It’s all yours!
The owner Katie & her amazing team made sure I was well looked after. This dream wedding team work their asses off to ensure you & your guests are enjoying the celebrations and the wedding day is flowing smoothly.
Relaxed Wedding Photographs at Ashfield House
I loved working with such an easy-going, happy couple.
The bride & groom chose me to photograph their wedding because of my “awesome photos, no fuss” philosophy. They wanted a relaxed, stress-free wedding day at Ashfield House surrounded by friends & family. “Awesome photos, no fuss” means I don’t do cringy posing and I won’t spend hours shooting endless group photos.
It means working as unobtrusively as possible to weave a genuine story of the wedding day.
A visual legacy the couple will love to show off!
Quick Creative Portraits in the Rain
Not even the sudden evening downpour could dampen this pair’s spirits and I got them outside in the lashing rain for some cool off-camera flash portraits.
This wasn’t a long exercise either. Before asking the couple to join me outside the venue, I’d already set up my flash lighting and locked in the camera settings.
Using this method we were able to shoot really awesome no-fuss killer portraits in the rain in less than two minutes- that’s not bad! The bride and groom were naturally cuddly with each other and this meant I didn’t need any daft or unnatural posing either, just a quick instruction to get close together!
I love a brave couple 🙂
A Fabulous Review from an Ashfield House Wedding
It was such a great day at Heather & James’ wedding. I received some of the best feedback I’ve ever had.
It’s really humbling to get comments like this and after a long hard summer of shooting all weekend and editing till midnight through the week, getting comments like this from your bride & groom is mind-blowing. It REALLY makes it all worthwhile!
Big love to Heather & James!
Any couple that has booked you for their wedding is truly blessed. You were BY FAR the best decision of our day. If we were to do it all over again, you would be straight at the top of our list.
Well. There’s nothing more I can add to that really, is there?
If you’re getting married & thinking of Ashfield House as your wedding venue then please get in touch via the link at the bottom of the page. I want to do it all over again!
